In this frequently asked question (FAQ) in the bible, we are going to answer the question: who created light and darkness.
And without much ado, let’s move ahead to answer this question.
Who created light and darkness.
According to the scripture in Isaiah 45:7, the LORD, also known as God is the One Who created light and darkness.
I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the LORD, do all these things..
Isaiah 45:7
Explanation.
In Genesis 3, we can see that the fall of man came as a result of Adam and Eve disobeying God to eat of the fruit in the middle of the garden he told them not to.
And according to God, it is this tree that brings the knowledge of what is good and evil.
From here we can understand that before God created human beings, He had already created good and evil.
That is to say good and evil have been in existence longer than mankind.
And as God commented after Adam and Eve disobeyed Him “for the man has become like us knowing good and evil”.
Whoever were the “us” God was referring to, it is certain that He and those beings had already been in the process of having to choose between good and evil.
And it is this choice that we know today as “freewill”.
