What The Lord Requires Of You: To Do Justly, Love Mercy, And Walk Humbly With God.

What The Lord Requires Of You To Do Justly, Love Mercy, And Walk Humbly With God.

In this short sermon, we are going to see what the Lord requires of you which is to do justly, to love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.

Before we go into this sermon properly, let’s outline the bible verse where we derive this sermon.

Bible Verse.

He has shown you O man what is good; and what does the LORD requires of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

Micah 6:8.

What does the Lord require of you? (Micah 6:8)

Already the bible verse above, that is Micah 6:8 has given us an answer to this question; which is the fact that what the Lord requires of you is to do justice, to love mercy, and be humble in the Lord’s presence.

But the problem is that when we look at our churches today, we see that the above things that God requires from us are lacking so much.

And this is because modern Christians think that what they do or give to God is what He requires from us.

But according to the book of Job, we discover that whatever we do, whether good or bad will affect a human being like us.

If you sin, what do you accomplish against Him? Or, if your transgressions are multiplied, what do you do to Him? If you are righteous, what do you give Him? Or what does He receive from your hand? Your wickedness affects a man such as you, And your righteousness a son of man. (Job 35:6-8)

For instance, if you pay your tithes and offering regularly, you will be providing upkeep for the men of God and their families.

The house of worship or church you build for God will enable the believers to gather to worship God.

So, therefore, thinking that what you do or give in the church is for God is a very big misconception.
