In this frequently asked question (FAQ) in the bible, we are going to answer the question: what is faith the evidence of things not seen?
But before we answer this question, let us see where we derive this question from the bible.
Bible verse about faith as the evidence of things not seen.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
(Hebrews 11:1)
Faith is the evidence of things not seen.
Faith as the evidence of things not seen means that you are relying on the word of God to bring the things He promised therein to reality very soon.
That is to say, the things you hope for or expect tomorrow are already written down in the bible. And you have seen and after that believe that it will come to reality real soon.
And with this, you already have the evidence of those things coming to pass, even though you have not seen it.
So what you are presently doing is patiently waiting for the time it is going to manifest.
What is faith according to the bible?
If faith is truly the substance of the things we hope for, why do we always hope for something that does not come to pass?
This is why we must seek to find out what faith really is.
Let’s check an instant in the scriptures where the bible talks about faith.
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:17.
But then, hearing the word of God is still not enough for us to have faith, so let’s see what the scripture says next.
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
James 1:22.
And it is only the explanation of God’s word that will give you faith.
In conclusion, we now realize that faith can only come to pass if we hear the promise from God and obey the requirements that will bring it to reality.
