What Does Christ In Us The Hope Of Glory Mean?

What Does Christ In Us The Hope Of Glory Mean

In this frequently asked question (FAQ) in the bible, we are going to answer the question what does Christ in us the hope of glory mean?

But before we move on to give the answer to this question, let us first and foremost outline the bible verse where we derived this question.

Bible verse about Christ in us the hope of glory.

To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory

Colossians 1:27.

Christ in us the hope of glory meaning.

Christ in us the hope of glory simply means that we have Christ indwelling in us.

The hope of the Christian’s glory is in the mystery that is revealed when Christ lives in you.

Without Christ living in anyone, such a person can never claim to be a Christian.

Christ Himself, while on earth made it known that He is the tree and we are the branches.

And for the branches to be nourished, grow and bear fruit; they must remain on the tree.

When the branch is cut away from the tree, it suddenly dies.

Now the big question is: how does Christ live in us?

How Christ lives in us.

Christ lives in us by the means of the Holy Spirit which He sent to us on the Pentecost day, as we can see in Acts 2.

While on earth, he reminded us of the promise of the Holy Spirit on several occasions.

Now let’s pause to outline one such instance:

“If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth.

The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.

On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

John 14:15-21.

As we can see from the above passage when you obey the Lord Jesus Christ, He will invite the Father and both of them will come and make a home in you.

And in so doing, Christ will live in you as the hope of glory.
