In this short sermon, we are going to see what the bible says in Mathew 15:19 that what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart.
Bible Verse.
“For out of the heart proceeds evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.
(Mathew 15:19)
What Comes Out Of The Mouth Proceeds From The Heart.
The human heart has always been the place where the problems of mankind arise ever since the beginning of time.
That is why those who always want to look out for the outward occasions of sin always fall prey to their heart leading them into sin.
Jesus made an example of how the sin of adultery begins in the heart.
“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘you shall not commit adultery’. “But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Mathew 5:27-28.
This means that once you look at a woman and begin to cons=ceive the thoughts of sleeping with her, you should be careful you don’t fall into that sin.
Whatever we do, it is our heart that is going to judge us.
For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our hearts, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence towards God.
1 John 3:20.
This means we should keep our hearts pure at all times.
And how do we do that?
It is by studying the word of God and trying to practice what is written there.
Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.
Psalm119:11.
