Today is Tuesday May 10 2022, and in the word of God for today on this platform will be taken from (Romans 3:20, 23)

Bible Verse.

As it is written: “there is none righteous, no, not one. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

(Romans 3:20, 23)

The question we need to ask from the above passage is, is there any righteous man on earth?

And to answer it, we have to go a searching in the bible to see if it ever mentions anyone who was righteous.

And some of the results that come up are:

This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. (Genesis 6:9)

Then Joseph her husband being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. (Mathew 1:19)

And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, (Luke 2:25)

“that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. (Mathew 23:35).

And delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked. (2 Peter 2:7).

And the scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” (James 2:21).

The kind of righteousness the scripture was talking about.

The story of the Pharisee and tax collector in Luke 18:9-14 describes the kind of righteousness the bible was referring to.

Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others; “two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. ‘the Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men – extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector.

‘I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to the heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ “I tell you this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. (Luke 18:9-14)

And the scripture below concludes that whoever practices righteousness is righteous.

Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.

(1 John 3:7)
