Today is Saturday March 19 2022, and in the word of God for today on this platform we are going to look at God’s covenant with David.

Scriptural text:

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17.

Our topic for today.

From our scriptural text in the word of God for today March 19 2022, we can draw a topic on the purpose of the word of God.

The purpose of the word of God.

From our scriptural text we can draw the following as the purpose of the word of God. In other words, the word of God can be used for the following purposes:

  1. Doctrine. This is a set of religious beliefs that can be found in the various Christian denominations. Which means that before one starts any church, he must use the scriptures to formulate the doctrine. That is to say, his doctrine must not be their own idea or man-made.
  2. Reproof. This can be seen as a blame or dissaproval. Which goes to say that whenever a Christian sees anyone doing anything contrary to the scriptures, they must never approve of it.
  3. Correction. Every other time we will get to see fellow Christians doing those things that the scripture says should not be done, and when that happens we must draw them to those portions that forbids such actions and help them correct their errors.
  4. Instruction in righteousness. From the scriptures, we will see those things that one must do to remain righteous. And we must use those things to instruct, both ourselves and our fellow Christians.

And all the above steps or actions are meant to equip the man of God for all religious purposes.

Conclusion.

As a matter of fact, we must make the scripture our number one priority in life if we want to be the people who wants God to use us for every righteous purposes.
