For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.(Romans 8:16)
When people are not aware of this scripture, they put in all their human effort and power into serving God.
For instance, they would plan a crusade and fix a date before embarking on fasting’s and prayers as a means of consulting God about it.
And should anything interfere on their carrying out that event, they would quickly blame God for allowing Satan to disrupt their plans.
And on the other hand, those who are aware of this scripture but lack the understanding of it sit back and become idle, expecting God to carry them around like babies.
But the true understanding of the whole matter is that, since He made us as rational beings, it is not wrong for us to lay out schemes that are good and spiritually profitable.
In other words we do not always have to wait for God to do all the planning and execution of them for us.
Because since He created us in His own image and likeness we ought to assist Him, sometimes, by figuring out plans of good and spiritually profitable things we would love to do.
Don’t ask God for things to use for worldly gains.
That is, our plans should not have selfish ends or involve personal or worldly gains, because if they do God will never be a part of it.
You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.(James 4:30)
But after that, we should not always anticipate those plans to work out exactly as we think as well as occur in our own human time frame.
Hence once we are done with drawing the whole picture in our minds, we should then present it before God and afterwards wait in faith and patience for its manifestation.
While waiting, we must physically use the resources or materials available to begin from nowhere; and in no time we will realize those schemes working out and being accomplished, even beyond our wildest imagination and anticipation.
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.(1 John 5:14)
An example of what the sons of God in the bible should do.
For example, if you want to do a crusade which aim is to bring people to the knowledge of the truth in the scripture, you should first of all conceive in your mind the whole picture of how you would love it to happen.
Don’t think of a particular venue or fix a date yet rather present the whole idea, which is in your head, before God in whatever manner you love to i.e. if you think it fit to fast and pray then go ahead and do so.
After you have done that, start making the necessary moves: spot avenue and fix a date and you will see what a great success you will achieve.
And should there ever arise a need to make adjustments, even at the dying minute, go ahead and do so knowing that whatever God is taking the lead on nothing or nobody can stand in the way of its progress and or success.
“I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied my name.(Revelation 3:8)
That is what makes and keeps us being the sons of God in the bible, who are always led by His Spirit.
