In this short sermon, we are going to see why the bible says; if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray.

But before we do so, let us first and foremost outline the bible verse where we derive this word of God.

Bible verse.

“If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from  heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If My People Who Are Called By My Name Will Humble Themselves And Pray.

If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray is a call by God for the believers who are still living in sin to repent and return back to him.

But many Christians always feel that there are sins that God cannot forgive, and so our question today is Does God forgive every sin if you repent?

Yes! God forgives every sin if you repent; that is why He said in the scripture below:

“Come now, and let us reason together,” says the LORD, “though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Isaiah 1:18.

Thus, if only we have the courage to approach God and seek forgiveness for whatever sin we might have committed; He is going to be merciful enough to forgive us.

But to me the most important aspect of turning back to God and seeking for forgiveness is the ability to stop doing those things that led you into sin.

That is to say, repentance precedes forgiveness, and after the forgiveness, you must not continue to sin again.
