In our frequently asked question (FAQ) in the bible for today, we are going to answer the question: how do you get confidence in God.
But before we proceed, let’s go to the bible and see where we have an answer to that question.
Bible verse about confidence in God.
If our heart condemns us, God is greater than our hearts, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence towards God.
(1 John 3:20)
How to Get Confidence In God?
From the above bible verse, which is 1 John 3:20, we discover that it is only when our heart does not condemn us that we have confidence in God.
Now the point is what is going through your mind as a believer when you are about to sin or after you have committed any sin?
Because we must not forget that there are times we will forget the laws of God (as Peter did); when we are about to sin, but immediately after sinning our conscience must definitely alert us about the wrong we have done.
Sinning willfully.
And this is when we must decide to either repent or be saved as we saw in the case of Peter. Or to harden our minds and face the wrath, that is wages of that sin; which is now considered intentional as we can see in the next scripture:
For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery imagination which will devour the adversaries.
(Hebrews 10:26-27)
So as it took God many years to prepare Moses, and Paul passed through so many trials and temptations; that he had to comment about the thorn in the flesh that was given to humble him (2 Corinthians 12:7-9)
We must therefore imbibe this same attitude and thereby exercise patience in whatever we are going through. So we could give God enough time to prepare us for whatever mission he has called us into; even if this might take a lifetime.
