The word of God.

Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, because “all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and it’s flower falls away, but the word of the Lord endures forever.

The word the scripture is talking about in the above scripture is Jesus Christ Who was at the beginning with God and was God.

In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
