How Judas betrayed Jesus.
Below are the various ways that Judas betrayed Jesus:
- From the bible verse above, it was Satan who instigated Judas to betray Jesus by conferring with the chief priest for a token.
- Judas led the soldiers to where they could arrest Jesus. John 18:3.
- Judas betrayed Jesus with a kiss. Mark 14:44.
As we can see from the bible verse above, it was Satan who possessed Judas and caused him to go and conspire on how to kill his Master, Jesus.
In essence, Satan was the brain behind the reason Judas betrayed Jesus.
And the most important thing we ought to know is how Satan was able to succeed in convincing Judas to go and commit such an act.
We all know that Jesus was fond of escaping from the crowd each time they tried to harm Him
And Judas knows this thought that if he collects the money and brings the soldiers to arrest Jesus; He will escape as usual and he will eat forfeit the money.
Now that’s what the devil used to succeed in tempting him.
If only Judas had remembered the words of God “thou shall not kill”, he would have escaped the devil’s temptation.
