Today is Tuesday, the 3 day of May in the year 2022, and our bible verse of the day will be taken from the book of 1 Peter 2:24.

Scriptural text:

Who himself bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness-

1 Peter 2:24.

Explanation.

So many Christians of nowadays are living in sin and having fun with it, and the worst part of it is that they try to find ways of justifying their actions.

But sin will always remain sin, and no matter how you try to justify your actions, you will never be able to escape your conscience that will always come hunting.

It is also worthy to note that over righteousness is sometimes the reason why people sin.

Peter is a good example of these kind of Christians. Because he thought there is no way he will ever betray the Lord.

He thought he would go anywhere and die with Christ.

But when the time came, he was not able to live up to that.

The second and most important thing that causes us to sin is the concept of grace.

And this concept lays claim to the fact that; Christ died, to take away all the sins we will ever commit.

And for that reason, we are saved by grace and not through the acts of righteousness.

But the same Apostle Paul, whom they claim propounded the concept of grace; said in Romans 6:1 “should we continue in sin that grace may abound”.

And in Titus 2:11-14, the same Paul reveals that; the grace of God appeared to teach us how to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts. And in so doing, live soberly, righteously and godly; as we anticipate the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ to judge all our actions
