Bible Verse Of The Day: July 27, 2022.

bible verse july 27 2022

Today is Wednesday, July 27, 2022, and our bible verse of the day will be taken from the book of Titus 1:16.

Bible Verse.

They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.

Titus 1:16.

It is sad that many of us are claiming to be Christians, but our actions are nothing to write home about.

This then makes our claim of knowing God a lip service or a ploy to deceive people; because the sins that we continue to commit give us away as children of the devil; as the scripture says:

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

John 8:44.

Therefore, it is only in keeping God’s commandment that we can hold on to the claim that we are the children of God.

Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.

1 John 2:3.

Prayer point.

Therefore, today we are going to pray for God’s forgiveness on those times we have denied Him through our actions; and also ask Him to help us live a life that will make us worthy to be His children.

Prayer.

Almighty and ever-living God, I come to you with a broken heart because of pondering on those times I have denied you through my actions.

I beg for your mercy and pardon and solemnly promise to give up my sinful ways.

Please give me the grace to live a life that will make me worthy to be called your child.

I make my prayers through Christ our Lord. Amen.
