Bible Verse Of The Day: July 20, 2022.

Bible Verse Of The Day July 20, 2022.

Today is Wednesday, July 20, 2022, and our bible verse of the day will be taken from the book of Titus 3:8.

Bible Verse.

This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

(Titus 3:8)

Our claim to believe in God should be reflected in our ability to maintain good works.

Paul’s letter to Titus Alongside the 2 letters he wrote to Timothy, serves as pastoral instructions for the leaders of the church, who in turn are expected to teach it to the congregation.

When you go through those 3 letters, you will discover how Christians, both leaders, and the congregation, should behave in order to maintain the good works Paul was referring to in the above text.

And maintaining good works generally entails how we should behave towards our fellow Christians.

For instance, in this very chapter, that is Titus chapter 3 Paul observed in verses 1 and 2 that:

  1. That Christians should be subject, that is obey their respective rulers and authorities.
  2. We are told not to speak evil of our fellow humans, but rather to live peacefully and gently as well as show humility to all men.

And from the 2 examples above, we can therefore understand how to maintain good works if we truly believe in God.

Prayer point.

Our prayer this morning is to implore God to help us be epitomes of good behaviors wherever we go.

Prayer.

Dear heavenly Father, I beg you to give me the grace to always display good characters and behaviors everywhere I go in every day of my life.

I make my prayers through Christ our Lord. Amen.
