Bible Verse Of The Day: August 1, 2022.

bible verse august 1 2022

Today is Monday, August 1, 2022, and our bible verse of the day will be taken from the book of 1 John 2:4.

Bible Verse.

He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1 John 2:4.

Are you one of those?

Because we Christians are fond of claiming to the followers of Christ, our actions go against everything that he commands.

Jesus said that His commandments are for us to love one another (John 15:12) because whosoever loves his brothers and sisters has been able to fulfill the whole laws and commandments (Romans 13:8-10).

This is because when you love your fellow human being, you will not do any wrong or evil against that person.

Besides our wickedness and righteousness will affect a human being like us (Job 35:6-8).

Since most Christians think that whatever they are doing in God’s service is for God; they mistreat their fellow humans (even fellow Christians) in their course of rendering God’s service.

There is no greater love on earth than for one to lay down his life for a fellow human being (John 15:13).

And our Lord Jesus did that for us and in turn, wants us to love our fellow humans.

Prayer point.

Pray that God should give you the grace to love your fellow human being.

Almighty and everlasting Father, I come before you this morning in shame because of those times I have failed to obey your commandments.

I have always acted so badly when it comes to the issue of loving my fellow human being.

But I come before you in all manner of humility and beg you to forgive me and put the spirit of love within that will enable me always live up to your expectations.

For I pray in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
