Today is Tuesday, the 26 day of April in the year 2022, and our bible verse of the day will be taken from the book of (1 Timothy 6:7.)

Scriptural text:

“for I have not dwelt in a house since the time that I brought the children of Israel up from Egypt, even to this day, but have moved about in a tent and in a tabernacle.

(2 Samuel 7:6).

Explanation.

The tent and tabernacle is also known as the temple of God, and our Lord Jesus Christ reveals in the scriptural text below that it is His body.

Jesus answered and said to them, “destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up” then the Jews said, “it has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?” But he was speaking of the temple of His body.

John 2:19-21.

Hence the human body is the temple of God.

So we can now realize that, when God is talking about dwelling in temples and tents, he is referring to living in the human body as the next scriptures confirms.

Do you know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

1 Corinthians 3:16

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own.

1 Corinthians 6:19

And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God and they shall be my people.

2 Corinthians 6:16.

However, for a human being to have God’s Spirit dwelling in them, he must keep the body pure at all times; especially from sexual sin because it is the only sin that he wholly indulges with his bodies.

Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.

1 Corinthians 6:18.

And as the last scripture advices, anyone that wants to escape sexual immorality must get married.

but if they cannot exercise self-control, let them marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

1 Corinthinas 7:9
