Today is Monday, 18 April in the year 2022, and our bible verse of the day will be taken from the book of (Romans 8:16).

Scriptural text:

“When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.

Mathew 13:19.

Explanation.

On our bible verse for today, we can see that the wicked one comes and snatches away the word of God from who do not understand when they hear it.

And in 2 Corinthians 4:3-4, the bible reveals the devil as the god of this ag, who blocks people from receiving the light that comes from God’s words.

But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded , who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ , who is the image of God, should shine on them.

Let us now look at how a human being can get to understand the word of God.

How to understand the word of God.

According to the scripture, it is the explanation of God’s word that leads to understanding.

The entrance of your word gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.

Psalm 119:130.

And in Malachi 2:7-9, we see that the priests are the ones entrusted to make this understanding of God’s word available to the human race.

After explaining the word of God, the hearer must try as much as possible to put those words to practice; else he will deceive himself.

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only deceiving yourselves.

(James 1:22)
