In this short sermon, we are going to look at the meaning of “behold I come quickly” as recorded in the bible in Revelation 22:12-15.
But before we go into this sermon, let us outline the bible verse where we derived this sermon.
Bible verse.
“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to everyone according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”
Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.
What does “behold I come quickly” mean?
Behold I come quickly means that the Lord Jesus is coming to repay humankind based on their actions. This goes to say that those who practice evil will be condemned while those who do good will receive eternal life as their reward.
This short sermon reminds us about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ to judge the world according to their actions.
And good enough, the scripture above shows us the destiny of those who do good as well as that of the evil doers.
This therefore should help us determine our everlasting fate.
And what better way to do that than obeying the commandments of God?
